macchanger software package provides utility for manipulating the MAC address of network interfaces, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install macchanger
macchanger is installed in your system.
Make ensure the macchanger package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep macchanger *
You will get with macchanger package name, version, architecture and description in a table
